Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Frank Avray Wilson achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in December 2020. In the Modern British and Irish Art auction, the work Another Place sold for GBP 5,355.00 (€ 5,982.01) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frank Avray Wilson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Wish, which sold at auction in March 2012 for GBP 15,000.00 (€ 17,982.23).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Frank Avray Wilson erzielte im Dezember 2020 bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art wurde die Arbeit Another Place für GBP 5.355,00 (€ 5.982,01) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Frank Avray Wilson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Wish beobachtet, die im März 2012 für GBP 15.000,00 (€ 17.982,23) versteigert wurde.
