Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2020 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Abstract Orange and Black by Frank Avray Wilson. The price achieved of GBP 3,562.50 (€ 3,928.24) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Frank Avray Wilson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Wish in March 2012 with an auction result of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 17,982.23).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2020 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Abstract Orange and Black von Frank Avray Wilson zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.562,50 (€ 3.928,24) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Frank Avray Wilson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Wish im März 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 17.982,23).
