In June this year Christies in London held the auction 20th/21st Century: London Evening Sale, which included the work Mouton de Pierre by François-Xavier Lalanne. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 327,600.00 (€ 381,270.00), 31% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by François-Xavier Lalanne achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'RHINOCRÉTAIRE I', PIÈCE UNIQUE, 1964 in October this year with an auction result of EUR 18,335,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 31 % übertroffen
Im Juni diesen Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th/21st Century: London Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mouton de Pierre von François-Xavier Lalanne zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 327.600,00 (€ 381.270,00) und damit 31% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von François-Xavier Lalanne erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'RHINOCRÉTAIRE I', PIÈCE UNIQUE, 1964 im Oktober diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 18.335.000,00.
