Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Mouton de Pierre by François-Xavier Lalanne was auctioned at Christies in London in June this year. It achieved a price of GBP 302,400.00 (€ 351,941.54), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 21%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by François-Xavier Lalanne achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'RHINOCRÉTAIRE I', PIÈCE UNIQUE, 1964 in October this year with an auction result of EUR 18,335,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Mouton de Pierre von François-Xavier Lalanne kam im Juni diesen Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 302.400,00 (€ 351.941,54) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 21%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von François-Xavier Lalanne erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'RHINOCRÉTAIRE I', PIÈCE UNIQUE, 1964 im Oktober diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 18.335.000,00.
