Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Boston-Terrier or Toy by François Pompon was sold in the La Ménagerie auction at Christies in New York in November 2019. The price achieved of USD 31,250.00 (€ 28,360.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by François Pompon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ours Blanc in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 329,000.00 (€ 463,885.87).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Boston-Terrier or Toy von François Pompon wurde im November 2019 in der Auktion La Ménagerie bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 31.250,00 (€ 28.360,11) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von François Pompon erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ours Blanc im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 329.000,00 (€ 463.885,87).
