Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art Online, which included the work Pont St. Michel, Paris by François Gall. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,410.00 (€ 5,224.66) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by François Gall have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A la place blanche. in June 2005 with an auction result of CHF 49,980.00 (€ 32,207.31).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pont St. Michel, Paris von François Gall zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 4.410,00 (€ 5.224,66) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von François Gall auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A la place blanche. im Juni 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CHF 49.980,00 (€ 32.207,31).
