This work of art by François Gabriel could be acquired at Christies in New York in January 2006 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The House Sale auction, the work Still life with flowers in an urn and fruit on a ledge changed hands for USD 2,400.00 (€ 1,974.01) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Other works by François Gabriel have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in June 2003 by the work GABRIEL, F. at USD 3,824.00 (€ 3,324.64).
