In the Master Paintings auction, the work Portrait Of An Elegant Woman, Three-Quarter Length, Standing Before A Fountain, Her Arm Resting On An Urn With Flowers changed hands for USD 15,000.00 (€ 13,448.09) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by François de Troy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Feast Of Dido And Aeneas: An Allegorical Portrait Of The Family Of The Duc And Duchesse Du Maine in June 2007 with an auction result of USD 1,776,000.00 (€ 1,313,609.47).
