Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2015 a collector was able to acquire the work Portrait Of An Elegant Man, Three-Quarter Length, Standing And Pointing Towards The Pages Of An Open Book by François de Troy for USD 11,875.00 (€ 10,646.40). This price was achieved in the auction Master Paintings at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by François de Troy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Feast Of Dido And Aeneas: An Allegorical Portrait Of The Family Of The Duc And Duchesse Du Maine in June 2007 with an auction result of USD 1,776,000.00 (€ 1,313,609.47).
Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Feast Of Dido And Aeneas: An Allegorical Portrait Of The Family Of The Duc And Duchesse Du Maine im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.776.000,00 (€ 1.313.609,47).
