Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait Of A Lady As Venus Disarming Cupid by François de Troy was sold in the Old Master Paintings Part II auction at Christies in New York in January 2014. The price achieved of USD 25,000.00 (€ 18,518.52) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by François de Troy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Feast Of Dido And Aeneas: An Allegorical Portrait Of The Family Of The Duc And Duchesse Du Maine in June 2007 with an auction result of USD 1,776,000.00 (€ 1,313,609.47).
Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Feast Of Dido And Aeneas: An Allegorical Portrait Of The Family Of The Duc And Duchesse Du Maine im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.776.000,00 (€ 1.313.609,47).
