Sold at the upper estimate price
The work 'La Collation' by François de Troy was sold in the Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale auction at Sothebys in London in December 2012. The auction ended at the price of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 18,499.17), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 12,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by François de Troy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Feast Of Dido And Aeneas: An Allegorical Portrait Of The Family Of The Duc And Duchesse Du Maine in June 2007 with an auction result of USD 1,776,000.00 (€ 1,313,609.47).

Die Arbeit 'La Collation' von François de Troy wurde im Dezember 2012 in der Auktion Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert.
