Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by François Boisrond achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in New York in July 2021. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art Online auction, the work La Casquette Et La Chaussure sold for USD 10,837.50 (€ 9,134.78) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by François Boisrond; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Allée Ombreuse sold at auction in March last year with the realized price of EUR 15,120.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von François Boisrond erzielte im Juli 2021 bei Bonhams in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Online wurde die Arbeit La Casquette Et La Chaussure für USD 10.837,50 (€ 9.134,78) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von François Boisrond; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Allée Ombreuse im März letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 15.120,00.
