The result of USD 10,000.00 (€ 8,964.59) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by François-Auguste Biard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Etude D'Homme En Buste in November 2021 with an auction result of EUR 175,500.00.

Die Arbeit L'atelier de l'artiste von François-Auguste Biard wurde im Oktober 2019 in der Auktion European Art Part II bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 8.964,59) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von François-Auguste Biard erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Etude D'Homme En Buste im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 175.500,00.
