Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Franco Fontana could be acquired at Il Ponte in April 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Photographs auction, the work Paesaggio 1988 changed hands for EUR 1,200.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Franco Fontana have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Piscina - 1984 in December 2016 with an auction result of EUR 8,060.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Franco Fontana konnte im April 2018 bei Il Ponte für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Photographs wechselte die Arbeit Paesaggio 1988 für EUR 1.200,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Franco Fontana auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Piscina - 1984 im Dezember 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 8.060,00.
