Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2011 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Contemporary Art 2, which included the work Sans Titre, 1962 by Francisco Sobrino. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 5,100.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Francisco Sobrino have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Permutationelle M in March 2020 with an auction result of USD 47,500.00 (€ 43,068.27).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2011 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Contemporary Art 2 durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sans Titre, 1962 von Francisco Sobrino zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 5.100,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Francisco Sobrino auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Permutationelle M im März 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 47.500,00 (€ 43.068,27).
