Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Spanish Carriage Ride By The River by Francisco Miralles y Galup was sold in the 19th Century European Art auction at Sothebys in New York in April 2007. The price achieved of USD 30,000.00 (€ 21,961.93) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Francisco Miralles y Galup - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Un día en el parque (A day in the park), which sold at auction in June 2007 for GBP 54,000.00 (€ 80,133.28).
