Auction result misses estimated price range
In May last year a collector was able to acquire the work At the Market by Francisco Miralles y Galup for USD 47,880.00 (€ 44,618.40). This price was achieved in the auction Belle Époque Splendor: The Discerning Eye of a Collector at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Francisco Miralles y Galup have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in June 2007 by the work Un día en el parque (A day in the park) at GBP 54,000.00 (€ 80,133.28).
