Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
This work without title by Francisco Matto was sold in the Latin American Sale auction at Christies in New York in November 2010. It achieved a price of USD 30,000.00 (€ 23,013.19), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Francisco Matto - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Constructivo en rojo y azul, which sold at auction in May 2015 for USD 56,250.00 (€ 51,164.27).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Francisco Matto wurde im November 2010 in der Auktion Latin American Sale bei Christies in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 23.013,19) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 20%. Für andere Arbeiten von Francisco Matto mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Constructivo en rojo y azul beobachtet, die im Mai 2015 für USD 56.250,00 (€ 51.164,27) versteigert wurde.
