Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Spanish caballos (Mounted Cavalrymen) by Francisco Domingo y Marqués was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2010. The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,974.99) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francisco Domingo y Marqués achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The jester in March 2001 with an auction result of GBP 47,000.00 (€ 75,839.21).

Die Arbeit Spanish caballos (Mounted Cavalrymen) von Francisco Domingo y Marqués kam im November 2010 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.974,99) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francisco Domingo y Marqués erzielen.
