Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2011 Sothebys in London held the auction European Paintings, which included the work Spanish en La Posada (In The Tavern) by Francisco Domingo y Marqués. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 13,133.22) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Francisco Domingo y Marqués have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The jester in March 2001 with an auction result of GBP 47,000.00 (€ 75,839.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2011 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion European Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Spanish en La Posada (In The Tavern) von Francisco Domingo y Marqués zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 11.250,00 (€ 13.133,22) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Francisco Domingo y Marqués auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The jester im März 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 47.000,00 (€ 75.839,21).
