Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The May queen by Francis Sydney Muschamp was sold in the British and European Art, including works from L'École de Paris, The Jewish Artists auction at Bonhams in London in November 2021. The price achieved of GBP 1,530.00 (€ 1,796.36) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Admittedly, works by Francis Sydney Muschamp have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A game of tennis in November 2009 with an auction result of GBP 7,750.00 (€ 8,481.38).
