Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Francis Sartorius could be acquired at Christies in July this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Masters Part II auction, the work The Chase changed hands for GBP 2,772.00 (€ 3,234.08) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francis Sartorius achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Full Cry in April 2015 with an auction result of USD 81,250.00 (€ 72,791.61).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Francis Sartorius konnte im Juli diesen Jahres bei Christies für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Old Masters Part II wechselte die Arbeit The Chase für GBP 2.772,00 (€ 3.234,08) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francis Sartorius erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Full Cry im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 81.250,00 (€ 72.791,61).
