Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In February 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction Fine Old Master & 19th Century European Art, which included the work Portrait Of John Stanford Perrot (1704-1768), William Parker Of Upton Cheney (1745-1789), And Sir Robert Jansen On Horseback by Francis Sartorius. Here, the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 16,250.00 (€ 13,307.67). Admittedly, works by Francis Sartorius have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Full Cry in April 2015 with an auction result of USD 81,250.00 (€ 72,791.61).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Februar 2018 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Fine Old Master & 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of John Stanford Perrot (1704-1768), William Parker Of Upton Cheney (1745-1789), And Sir Robert Jansen On Horseback von Francis Sartorius zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 16.250,00 (€ 13.307,67) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Francis Sartorius auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Full Cry im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 81.250,00 (€ 72.791,61).
