In the Old Master Paintings and British Paintings auction, the work Eclipse, The Celebrated Racehorse, Held By A Groom By The Rubbing Down House, Newmarket sold for GBP 17,500.00 (€ 20,139.08) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Francis Sartorius - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Full Cry, which sold at auction in April 2015 for USD 81,250.00 (€ 72,791.61).
