Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Francis Sartorius could be acquired at Sothebys in London in July 2013 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale auction, the work A Chestnut Racehorse Led By A Groom changed hands for GBP 18,750.00 (€ 21,425.14) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Francis Sartorius - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Full Cry, which sold at auction in April 2015 for USD 81,250.00 (€ 72,791.61).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Francis Sartorius konnte im Juli 2013 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale wechselte die Arbeit A Chestnut Racehorse Led By A Groom für GBP 18.750,00 (€ 21.425,14) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Francis Sartorius mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Full Cry beobachtet, die im April 2015 für USD 81.250,00 (€ 72.791,61) versteigert wurde.
