This artwork by Francis Ng achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2006. In the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction, the work Intimate Spaces #1 sold for HKD 33,600.00 (€ 3,374.92) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 16,000.00. This high result makes Intimate Spaces #1 the most expensive artwork by Francis Ng that we have observed at auctions so far.
