Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2005 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art, which included the work Constructing construction #1 by Francis Ng. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 24,000.00 – 40,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 26,400.00 (€ 2,888.55) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Francis Ng have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2006 the work Intimate Spaces #1 was auctioned for HKD 33,600.00 (€ 3,374.92).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2005 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Constructing construction #1 von Francis Ng zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 24.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 26.400,00 (€ 2.888,55) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Francis Ng konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2006 die Arbeit Intimate Spaces #1 für HKD 33.600,00 (€ 3.374,92) versteigert.
