Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Tying the Rick by Francis Cadell was auctioned at Bonhams in Edinburgh in May 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 5,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 5,737.50 (€ 6,675.71) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francis Cadell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Reflection in June last year with an auction result of GBP 942,500.00 (€ 1,094,916.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Tying the Rick von Francis Cadell kam im Mai 2021 bei Bonhams in Edinburgh zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 5.737,50 (€ 6.675,71) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francis Cadell erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Reflection im Juni letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 942.500,00 (€ 1.094.916,90).
