The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 150,000.00 – 250,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 160,650.00 (€ 248,489.17) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, An ostrich; and A cassowary is the most expensive artwork by Francis Barlow that we have observed at auctions so far.
