Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Triptych 1987 (Central Panel) by Francis Bacon was sold in the Prints and Multiples auction at Christies in London in March 2015. The price achieved of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 6,567.13) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francis Bacon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Three Studies Of Lucian Freud in November 2013 with an auction result of USD 142,405,000.00 (€ 104,663,383.80).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Triptych 1987 (Central Panel) von Francis Bacon wurde im März 2015 in der Auktion Prints and Multiples bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.750,00 (€ 6.567,13) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francis Bacon erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Three Studies Of Lucian Freud im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 142.405.000,00 (€ 104.663.383,80).
