Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2015 Christies in London held the auction Old Master & British Paintings Evening Sale, which included the work Rebecca And Eliezer At The Well by Francesco Salvator Fontebasso. The price achieved of GBP 140,500.00 (€ 190,792.25) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. Other works by Francesco Salvator Fontebasso have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in January 2007 the work The Annunciation was auctioned for USD 312,000.00 (€ 240,036.93).
