In the Modern British and Irish Art auction, the work The Tithe Barn, Cerne Abbas sold for GBP 18,750.00 (€ 22,279.06) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by Frances Hodgkins have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Christmas Tree in January 2020 with an auction result of GBP 162,500.00 (€ 193,291.94).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Frances Hodgkins erzielte im Juli 2016 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art wurde die Arbeit The Tithe Barn, Cerne Abbas für GBP 18.750,00 (€ 22.279,06) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 10.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Frances Hodgkins auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Christmas Tree im Januar 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 162.500,00 (€ 193.291,94).
