Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Picnic by Frances Hodgkins was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2019. The price achieved of GBP 23,750.00 (€ 27,888.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Frances Hodgkins have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Christmas Tree in January 2020 with an auction result of GBP 162,500.00 (€ 193,291.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Picnic von Frances Hodgkins kam im November 2019 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 23.750,00 (€ 27.888,31) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Frances Hodgkins auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Christmas Tree im Januar 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 162.500,00 (€ 193.291,94).
