Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work River Pool, Somerset by Frances Hodgkins was sold in the British Art on Paper auction at Christies in London in June 2001. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 10,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 10,575.00 (€ 17,567.18). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frances Hodgkins achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Christmas Tree in January 2020 with an auction result of GBP 162,500.00 (€ 193,291.94).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit River Pool, Somerset von Frances Hodgkins wurde im Juni 2001 in der Auktion British Art on Paper bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 10.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 10.575,00 (€ 17.567,18) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frances Hodgkins erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Christmas Tree im Januar 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 162.500,00 (€ 193.291,94).
