This artwork by Foster Sakyiamah achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in November 2021. In the Contemporary Curated auction, the work without title sold for GBP 6,930.00 (€ 8,136.47) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,500.00. Admittedly, works by Foster Sakyiamah have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Red Girls Synced in March last year with an auction result of GBP 44,100.00 (€ 52,285.51).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 98 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Foster Sakyiamah erzielte im November 2021 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Curated wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für GBP 6.930,00 (€ 8.136,47) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Foster Sakyiamah auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Red Girls Synced im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 44.100,00 (€ 52.285,51).
