Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2012 a collector was able to acquire the work My Space! by Folkert de Jong for USD 10,625.00 (€ 7,968.35). This price was achieved in the auction Under the Influence at Phillips in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Folkert de Jong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Talking, Reading, Killing, which sold at auction in November 2010 for USD 31,250.00 (€ 23,972.08).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2012 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit My Space! von Folkert de Jong für USD 10.625,00 (€ 7.968,35) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Under the Influence bei Phillips in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Folkert de Jong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Talking, Reading, Killing beobachtet, die im November 2010 für USD 31.250,00 (€ 23.972,08) versteigert wurde.
