Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
When the work Study by Flora Yukhnovich was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March last year, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - USD 15,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than three times as high at USD 47,880.00 (€ 43,162.35). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Flora Yukhnovich achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Warm, Wet ‘N’ Wild in March last year with an auction result of GBP 2,697,000.00 (€ 3,197,597.04).
Kunstwerk zum Dreifachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Als die Arbeit Study von Flora Yukhnovich im März letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – USD 15.000,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit USD 47.880,00 (€ 43.162,35) mehr als dreimal so hoch. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Flora Yukhnovich erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Warm, Wet ‘N’ Wild im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.697.000,00 (€ 3.197.597,04).
