Despite a disappointment, a good price for Flora Fong
When the work La colada cotidiana by Flora Fong was auctioned at Christies in New York in November 2003, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 9,560.00 (€ 7,969.99). Despite this disappointing result, La colada cotidiana is the most expensive artwork by Flora Fong that we have observed at auction so far.
