In November 2011 Phillips in New York held the auction Latin America, which included the work La cafetera (The Coffee Kettle) by Flora Fong. The price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,645.80) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Other works by Flora Fong have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2003 the work La colada cotidiana was auctioned for USD 9,560.00 (€ 7,969.99).
