Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Beauty and Butterfly by Ferdinand Keller was auctioned at Christies in Melbourne in November 2002. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of AUD 40,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of AUD 41,125.00 (€ 23,191.82) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Ferdinand Keller have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2019 the work Diana was auctioned for EUR 28,750.00.

Die Arbeit The Beauty and Butterfly von Ferdinand Keller kam im November 2002 bei Christies in Melbourne zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von AUD 40.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von AUD 41.125,00 (€ 23.191,82) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Ferdinand Keller konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im November 2019 die Arbeit Diana für EUR 28.750,00 versteigert.
