Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work La Rueda- Brasil by Fernando Canovas for USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,016.71). This price was achieved in the auction Latin American Sale Evening Session at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fernando Canovas achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May 2016 with an auction result of USD 55,000.00 (€ 49,393.80).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit La Rueda- Brasil von Fernando Canovas für USD 6.250,00 (€ 4.016,71) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Latin American Sale Evening Session bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fernando Canovas erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 55.000,00 (€ 49.393,80).
