Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Daydreaming by Fernand Toussaint was sold in the 19th Century European Art auction at Christies in New York in October 2016. The price achieved of USD 25,000.00 (€ 22,806.06) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Fernand Toussaint have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Femme Élégante Au Parc, Paris in November 2004 with an auction result of GBP 71,700.00 (€ 103,140.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Daydreaming von Fernand Toussaint wurde im Oktober 2016 in der Auktion 19th Century European Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 22.806,06) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Fernand Toussaint auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Femme Élégante Au Parc, Paris im November 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 71.700,00 (€ 103.140,06).
