Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2008 Artcurial in Paris held the auction 19th Century Sculptures and Paintings, which included the work Vue De Concarneau by Fernand Marie Eugène Legout-Gérard. The price achieved of EUR 3,315.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fernand Marie Eugène Legout-Gérard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Breton Figures in a Landscape in May 2001 with an auction result of USD 41,125.00 (€ 48,639.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2008 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion 19th Century Sculptures and Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Vue De Concarneau von Fernand Marie Eugène Legout-Gérard zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 3.315,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fernand Marie Eugène Legout-Gérard erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Breton Figures in a Landscape im Mai 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 41.125,00 (€ 48.639,86).
