The work Le Port de Concarneau, Coucher de Soleil by Fernand Marie Eugène Legout-Gérard was sold in the 19th Century European Pictures auction at Christies in London in March 2005. It achieved a price of GBP 20,960.00 (€ 30,526.06), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 75%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Fernand Marie Eugène Legout-Gérard; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Breton Figures in a Landscape sold at auction in May 2001 with the realized price of USD 41,125.00 (€ 48,639.86).

Die Arbeit Le Port de Concarneau, Coucher de Soleil von Fernand Marie Eugène Legout-Gérard wurde im März 2005 in der Auktion 19th Century European Pictures bei Christies in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 20.960,00 (€ 30.526,06) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 75%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Fernand Marie Eugène Legout-Gérard; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Breton Figures in a Landscape im Mai 2001 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 41.125,00 (€ 48.639,86).
