The »bidding war« ended at USD 62,500.00 (€ 51,183.36), 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jacob Ferdinand Voet - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait of Philippe, Duc de Vendôme (1655-1727), Grand Prior of the Knights of Malta in France, bust-length, in a feigned oval, which sold at auction in December 2010 for GBP 99,650.00 (€ 115,593.70).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 62.500,00 (€ 51.183,36) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Jacob Ferdinand Voet mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait of Philippe, Duc de Vendôme (1655-1727), Grand Prior of the Knights of Malta in France, bust-length, in a feigned oval beobachtet, die im Dezember 2010 für GBP 99.650,00 (€ 115.593,70) versteigert wurde.
