The »bidding war« ended at USD 62,500.00 (€ 51,183.36), 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jacob Ferdinand Voet - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait of Philippe, Duc de Vendôme (1655-1727), Grand Prior of the Knights of Malta in France, bust-length, in a feigned oval, which sold at auction in December 2010 for GBP 99,650.00 (€ 115,593.70).

Die Arbeit Portrait Of Laura Chigi von Jacob Ferdinand Voet wurde im Februar 2018 in der Auktion Master Paintings and Sculpture Day Sale bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 62.500,00 (€ 51.183,36) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Jacob Ferdinand Voet mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait of Philippe, Duc de Vendôme (1655-1727), Grand Prior of the Knights of Malta in France, bust-length, in a feigned oval beobachtet, die im Dezember 2010 für GBP 99.650,00 (€ 115.593,70) versteigert wurde.
