It achieved a price of AUD 8,365.00 (€ 4,887.40), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 67%. Admittedly, works by Ferdinand Keller have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Diana in November 2019 with an auction result of EUR 28,750.00.

Die Arbeit Study of a Woman's Head von Ferdinand Keller kam im Mai 2004 bei Christies in Sydney zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von AUD 8.365,00 (€ 4.887,40) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 67%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ferdinand Keller auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Diana im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 28.750,00.
