Die Arbeit The Kiss von Ferdinand Erfmann wurde im Januar 2007 in der Auktion Pictures,Watercolours and Drawings bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 2.040,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 28 %. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ferdinand Erfmann erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Vrouw met kinderwagen im Dezember 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 51.600,00.
