Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2009 Christies in New York held the auction The Scholars Eye: Property from the Julius Held Collection Part II, which included the work A monk preaching to his order from a pulpit; and A pope offering a bishop's mitre to a cleric by Ferdinand-Pierre-Joseph-Ignace Delamonce. The price achieved of USD 1,250.00 (€ 976.26) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Other works by Ferdinand-Pierre-Joseph-Ignace Delamonce have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2005 the work La Descente de Croix was auctioned for EUR 1,680.00.

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.250,00 (€ 976,26) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden.
