Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Félix-Saturnin Brissot de Warville could be acquired at Christies in New York in March 2000 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 19th Century Art auction, the work The return home changed hands for USD 2,300.00 (€ 2,402.34) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Félix-Saturnin Brissot de Warville achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Chasse in November 2014 with an auction result of EUR 41,280.00.
