Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2008 Christies in London held the auction Nineteenth Century European Art, which included the work Shepherds grazing their flock by Félix-Saturnin Brissot de Warville. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,570.31) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Félix-Saturnin Brissot de Warville achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Chasse in November 2014 with an auction result of EUR 41,280.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion Nineteenth Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Shepherds grazing their flock von Félix-Saturnin Brissot de Warville zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.570,31) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Félix-Saturnin Brissot de Warville erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Chasse im November 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 41.280,00.
